I was in Barcelona, Spain last few days. Spending the last day of my Christmas and New Year holidays. I t had been nice to come back again to a place that I will always love and close to my heart.

And one thing that I found is so significant to Barcelona and Spain is a brand called TOUS. A Spanish company that is everywhere in Barcelona especially. I knew that there is an Outlet in Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur and it is almost always deserted (an according to my source it is still the same right till this day) but I had never knew it is all different sceneries in Barcelona. Trust me!

Well it's not surprising really considering the fact that this is the place where the products is born. in Barcelona, people were lingering at the TOUS jewelery counters like ants and sugar. And basically to be serve by one of the sales assistance you need to "Q" up for numbers and wait till it's your turn.How's that sound ehhh?

To me TOUS is indeed a big fad among the Spanish. And everywhere you go on the streets of Barcelona you will never failed to notice the TOUS signature teddy bear on handbags, scarves, pendant, more bags , purse and well the list could go on.

Now isn't that something?

In case, you're still not aware of the company existence I present to you the TOUS 2008 jewelery collection. And what do I get to conclude. It's look like wire jewelery is hot for the Spanish this year.

So that's is just apart of what TOUS is all about. They are actually quite famous for their bags, watches and perfume too.

On another note heard that our beloved pop star celebrity : Kylie Minogue had recently been spotted flashing stunning TOUS design jewelery for the world premier at Vue cinemas. Read more of the news here. Which also automatically implies the world renowned Spanish jeweler has chosen Kylie as the face for the brand right up till 2010.

Now isn't it's time for us to join the fad then?

I had been out (read as in cyberspace) and blog hopping today when I noticed this post in BONTB about Entrecard. Knowing that Julia the author of BONTB (who had been a good blogger friend of mine and I knew is always up and helping other bloggers with awesome blog tips and tricks). I rushed into the Entrecard website to check it out.

After a brief video explanation from Entrecard, I'm really convinced with their idea ready to join in the new hype in the blogosphere. I'm sure in few months ahead or maybe even few weeks after this website will be so hot and me? And if that's the case I'm sure I don't want to miss this hot stuff!!!

So I signed up and well get the widget code to be display in my blog. And in less than an hour I got about 20 hits from registered users in Entrecard. Which is really awesome!!!! Considering I had been quiet inactive in the blogosphere.

Now you might ask what so special about this Entrecard? With Entrecard every blog will be equipped with a widget that act as your business card. And if you're a registered user of Entrecard you could click on the link below the widget to leave your card to let the blog author know that you had been visiting their blog.

With each card that I dropped into other people blog I received 1 credit so the more blog I visit the more credit I collect...(tho I only get)

The Entrecard widget also acts as an advertising space. So I could choose a blog (or blogs) registered with Entrecard and buy an advertising space from them. But I don't need to pay money because all I need is my Entrecard credits that I had collected from visiting other blogs in the neighbourhood...but mind you popular blogs might needs you to pay for higher credit compared to my blog (hint...hint!!!). FYI you also get credits when other bloggers decide to advertise on your blog.

Now isn't this sounds like a cool concept? I think I love it because this is really a win win situation. Besides this is just another cool way to discover more cool blogs in the blogospehere. Traveling Between Germany and Austria.

I had been tipped off with an useful info about traveling between Germany and Austria. And well had been thinking of what other way to share the good news if not with my blog readers?

If anyone ever plan to travel between those places in the future, my advice is do check on Lufthansa airline website first. Lufthansa Airlines frequently offers it's customers with special web deals. So it will be worthwhile if you stop by the carrier website first before proceeding to book your flight on other carrier. Maybe if you're lucky you could be one of the winner for flight ticket bid during 'happy hours time' in Lufthansa website.

However, that's not the only airlines that serve between the coutry. Besides Lufthansa low cost flights such as Air Berlin operates between Vienna and Hamburg, Dortmund and Duesseldorf in Germany. Another well known budget carrier is Germanwings which also fly to the Austrian capital from Cologne Bonn.

Besides those two airlines you could also opt for SkyEurope which still offer a good value for your money. However please take note that, if you choose this route you will be flying from Stuggart in Germany and direct to Bratislava instead. And from Bratislava the SkyShuttle bus will connect you to Vienna and it will only cost you an extra €10.

Little Misses T-shirt

Doesn't the look of this character reminds you of the 80's. And most importantly it is OMEGA KAWAII!!! I had been searching for these cute character t-shirt for quite sometimes now. I think it's just cool to make a statement with your cute t-shirt.

They have these t-shirts in BT2 (Dublin) but it is priced at an awful 40 euros to spend just for a t-shirt? Unbelievable! Besides, they have very limited design too which is so boring!!! But thanks to the internet I found it all at 80's Tees.com at a much cheaper price. Cheaper and even better deals for me - for the same price they're selling here I could get two Little Misses t-shirts (and maybe I hafta add up a little for shipping). That's really great ehh! Don't you think?

Harajuku Lovers Sneakers

The Islamic fashion breakthrough.

I had been searching in TheNewsRoom for something to share with my readers. Yesterday I was blog hopping when I read about Mrs Imran and her dilemma trying to find a swimsuit for Muslim women.

Now, I haven't find any VC related to that, but I found this piece of video clip which is very liberating. I mean after September 11th tragedy of WTC people mostly have been clouded with such notion that Islam is a bad religion. Which is not true! As long as I've been thought there's no religion teaches its followers to do bad things...NEVER!!!

Barcelona : Recommended Hotels

To get the ball rolling again on this blog I decided to write yet another reviews. This is a post to further my previous two posts regarding hotels in Barcelona. The previous post was sponsored.This one though is based on my own experience in Barcelona.

I understand that it's hard sometimes to make a decision on which hostel/budget hotels that you should be staying even though you had the idea on which websites you should be searching first. It's true that it's not luxury that I'm after but more of cleanliness and comfortable and nice helpful staff is a bonus especially when you're a foreigners in places that people don't even speaks your language.

Mind you this recommendation is for backpackers like us and so the recommendation is basically for hostels or budget hotels that will suits you if you're traveling as a couple or for two backpackers.

Here are my three recommended hotels if you're heading to Barcelona.

1. Barcelona Mar Youth Hostel

Located in La Ramblas area, this hostel comes handy for any backpackers as it is located in the prime area of Barcelona where you could easily get access to the public transport be it buses, metro or even taxis.

It's hidden gems in one of the street nearby to La Ramblas. If you're looking for an apartment like place to stay here is one. The building is however separated from the main building of Barcelona Mar Hostels. It's quiet and comfortable just what we will be looking forward to after a long day touring in Barcelona.

The staffs are very helpful and they speak excellent English so just prepare yourself with all the questions you need to ask before you get out and discover Barcelona .

They also provide breakfast and free internet access. However to do that you have to go to the main building of Barcelona Mar hostel...(if you don't mind). Plus if you're looking for friends you might made it a point to hang out at the main building lounge.

These are few pictures view of our double bed room for two person sharing (bathroom en suite). You could opt to stay in a dorm instead however I'm sorry I got no pictures of that.

2. Hotel Continental Palacete, Barcelona

This is a real value for money hotel. Located in Ramblas de Catalunya area which is less busy vicinity of Barcelona city center. But fret not. La Ramblas is around 15 to 20 minutes walk and lotsa restaurants and shops nearby the said hotel.

What I like most is they offer 24 hours Continental buffet to their guest besides internet access. Yes you heard me right! The buffet is open 24 hours per day so take all you want.

And as if that's not enough the rates is really competitive. Standard room for two person sharing starts from 130 euros. That assured I will definitely come back to this hotel if I ever go to Barcelona again.

3. Medium Monegal Hotel, Barcelona

This one has an excellent location in Plaza Catalunya, the metro station is just opposite the hotel, McDonalds just next door and La Ramblas and all the major shopping areas are just few steps away.

However due to the prime location you must be willing to sacrifice for the noise level. To be frank I don't find that's a problem though our room is the one facing the main road. I must be sleeping like a baby huh?

Very clean rooms and well not that bad at all for the sum of money that I had to pay. This is the hotel perfect for you to hit the sack after a long day, and would be suitable if you're planning for a short one or two days stay in Barcelona.

Never underestimate a blog just because it is pink or the name of the blog got something to do with pink.

It's true though that she loves pink...a doctor in the making and life as a student in Egypt are mainly the topics in her blog. It's fun place to hang out and meet some friends.

I'm Back

Finally I got my way back to blog again. Sigh! Got tired of all the traffic attraction rules and reviews after sometimes. That I took my days totally off. I even stopped joining all the hot and new discussion at Blog Catalog. Dear me! That's the problem if you're doing something for money. While my other more personal blog keeps on flourishing this one got silence.

Had been putting this off for awhile now. I need to acknowledge blogs that had been strong supporters/referrers/bloggers friends of [B][E][A][U][T][I][F][U][L]. I owe them a lot, despite the fact that this blog took ages to load (so some of you are complaining...and yes I'm listening and still figuring which widget to throw out :) ) these fellows still find something good about this blog to put a link in their blog. Thanks A Millions!!!

Will be posting this Love Be Gets Love - on a bi-weekly basis, if not sooner. And if you're not listed this time around no worries you sure will be getting my acknowledgment if not today maybe later on.

So drum-roll please....The first four blogs are as follows;

1. DavidPit.com - He listed this blog as one of the best design blog amongst the Top Favorited Blog in Technorati. I couldn't believe my eyes. But he did. It's not that there are no better design than this blog but I know being orange with a party tree on top does catches people attention as most of blogs are plain white with only layout design to compete. Read the post here.

Anyway David has been writing since he was 16, and had been writing topics on computers softwares, business to his latest craze - cars as he grow. He claim to be an entreperneur and sometimes giving business tips to his readers though the blog that I link him is more of his personal ramblings. Go and visit him. You will got a lot to read and ponder.

2. cymru66 - When I first join BlogCatalog Steve has been the one who were very helpful and he still is a very helpful blogger, as I was quite lost about StumbleUpon at those time he had been stumbling my posts and asking me if I'm doing ok with my stumble every other day?

His blog is mostly about his craze for his MINI car and as an athlete himself he had been posting lots of info that you might find useful. Another fun blog to linger you might lose some time here too but you will not regret it - that's my guarantee.

3. BONTB - Another amazing blogger who gets 6,ooo page views over her StumbleUpon experiment. How she did it? I don't know...you might wanna ask that to her yourself.

This blog is packed with ideas on how you could develop your blog from attracting blog traffic to monetizing your blog. This is the place where you could get your head around and be inspired. Julia has also been a very good blogger friend to me and so she will be to others. Another thumb up for this one here.

4. GAPINGVOID:"cartoon drawn on back of business cards"-
Gotta send some love for this man too! The image above - "love begets love" had been taken from his website. I just can't get enough of his sketches. Simple sketch but it conveys lotsa message.

I will be coming back for more of his sketches. A must visit for people who like me love sketches like this. Go figure! Owhh don't forget to stumble it too :)

CafePress : Make Money Selling T-Shirt

I think I should try this CafePress business selling T-shirt. Last week I wrote something about CafePress too, but that was for anyone who knows how to design themself. And use it to promote their portfolio by using their design as T-shirt prints instead of just limiting themself to the cyberspace.

There's two fold to this, they might sell their design to somebody else who is interested in selling T-shirt @ CafePress, otherwise they might run the business themselves @ CafePress as CafePress has made it very easy to start your own CafePress store.

But after reading this news @ TheNewsRoom, I think hey there's a huge opportunities there...what with Paris Hilton and Britney. Owhh there will be a lot of interesting oneliner t-shirt to sell doesn't it? And I don't even have to worry about design because this is simply making a statement with a on-liner on your t-shirt.

So let me put it this way. If you we're to wear a T-shirt with a one-liner sentence. What one-liner sentence that you want it to be on your shirt? C'mone give me some suggestion...who knows you might see the t-shirt on the street soon...(hahahha owhh that is just me being ambitious...and hoping to be lucky).

StumbleUpon Tutorial (Part 2) -
How to fully utilise you SU Blog

I realised that many of your SU blogs has a lot of stumbles. Which is good! And for those who are just starting to learn stumbling - hopefully the first tutorial has help you start stumbling and by now you have been listing in your SU pages a number of your stumbles.

If you go to your SU Blog...(I consider calling your SU pages a blog - which means, all of you will have another addition to the strings of currently available blogs ehh?). If you refer to StumbleUpon Help page it clearly defined that SU is not a blog - however,it has a feature which are common in any blog software. Hence, the ability for you to post on your blog pages.

Your SU blog pages is define by the url : http://yourSUid.stumbleupon.com.
In my case it's here...http://sexyinred.stumbleupon.com

And basically this is what it looks like

I noticed that some of you are not aware that this page really acts like your blog page. Meaning you could add contents to that page. Your StumbleUpon blog is not just limited to the pages that you had stumbled but you could put a highlight to pages that you wanted other stumblers to Stumble (hint : send traffic to pages or blogs that you want) by using Sticky Notes.

But before I proceed to that - Sticky Notes. First let me introduce to the basic structure of your blog page. Notice that on the right, bottom most part of my image - just under the post to blog button is this link.

Glossary

Blog - This is where you could add your sticky notes,
or your own contents that you wanna highlight to you SU blog visitors.
Which basically where you want stumblers to click and give it a thumb up.

All-Thumb's-Up - All the photos, images, articles, blogs and websites that you have stumbles

Discovered - Photos, images, articles, blogs and websites that you had discover (i.e nobodys has stumbled on the following before). And yes you got some credit for being the one who discover a blogs, photos and etc because that's SU up to.

Tags - Sometimes it's easier for stumblers to find others stumblers findings through tags. Especially true if the stumblers has a very huge stumbles archives. And it might be helpful for you to discover stumbles that matches your stumbles interest in that particular stumbler pages - instead of going through all his/her stumbles pages.
And that's why it's important to tags your stumbles appropriately.

Start Posting Now!

Now that you know what is what - It's time to post your Sticky Notes. When you post your sticky notes it will appear on the Blog page. You could do so by clicking on the Post To Blog button

Why I recommend you to post sticky notes?

Your chance to highlight articles, blogs, photos, websites that you want people to discover.
Looking for traffic to another blog(s) - This is also an option you could try (tho, I can't guarantee it will brings much traffic)
Make you SU blog stands out from the other stumblers and keep people coming back.

What are the limitation?

You are allowed to post up to 10,000 characters. But then again if you use lots of images it might lessen the limit of what you could write - vice versa.
Images are welcome - However you need to host it on free image hosting (which allows linking to the image too) such as Photobucket and ImageShack.
Currently audio format and videos are not supported.

Once you click on Post to blog you could start posting - just like any normal blog. You could use normal html function to insert images, highlight a text, change fonts color, align your image and text etc. This is nothing new for any bloggers now days...and if you are not sure of how the post will look like you could always use PracticeBoard to preview your coding before posting.

No worry though you could always, delete it or edit it if you need to after posting :)
After you're done click Post this comments.

!!! - Note that you can't tag on your own post.

If you click on the edit button you will get page like the screenshot.
After making the appropriate changes click Save Changes.
In order to keep that post on top of the other stumbles pages -
unclick on the box besides the save changes for don't change the date.

Some tips:

You might want to keep the post in simple html and very brief. As this is just a means to redirect stumblers to a page/pages that you want to highlight to them and hopefully they will stumble for you.
You might need your post from time to time to keep it current
Use your cretivity...you might find out more things that you could post on your SU blog

How you could advertise your blog/business using it?

I've had notice through SU that some of bloggers out there are also fantastic digital media designers - which have a collection of cool design or portfolio. And it's a shame that their good design should only limited to the cyber world. So that's when the idea to write this post occured to me.

Have anyone heard of CafePress before? Well if you haven't it's a place where you could create t-shirt with your own design and have it printed for you (now that's not quite true b'coz truth is you could print your design not only on a t-shirt but stuff like badge, mugs, bags etc as well - but I'm concentrating on t-shirt this time around) . Hey! wait (if you refer back to the title of this post...this will make no sense at all) . You will not be making any money just buying t-shirt you design for your ownself don't you?

Consider this method (t-shirt printing) as one of the way you could advertise your blog/portfolio/business. We all have been aware of how to increase our blog traffic online (in a way or two). But what else? How about trying to advertise your blog in the real world? So more people are aware the blog exist for whatever means that you started blogging anyway - Print your own t-shirt with your own design! and sell them in your blog/webistes.

CafePress let you design your own t-shirt in a simple few steps (tho producing a perfect design will take you some time)- without much hassle. Chances are if you got a good design and the price is just right (which you don't have to worry because at CafePress t-shirt price starts as low as $14.99) you will be attracting buyers soon enough.

You could also run a contest in your blog, and have your own design t-shirt to be send to the winners. And when somebody saw t-shirt with good design they will definitely ask where did he/she get the cool shirt...and hopefully yet another new customers for you.

Never underestimate the word of mouth especially in the real world. So for now let's head to Cafepress and see if we could make a few bucks there. Any takers?

Stumble Upon : How To Start Stumbling (Part 1)

I've been thinking to help people out on how to fully utilised the power of StumbleUpon. But had been putting this off till today. When I suddenly get a surge in my blog traffic after asking few people from the great community of Blog Catalog to stumble my post. This is the time really to start sharing. :)

Why Should We Use Stumble Upon?

Stumble Upon is the new GOOGLE...ehem...well (that's true for me at least), why? because Stumble Upon simply uses the power of people recommendation. Instead of Page Rank and definitely without any complex calculation in between. Thus you will be able to discover more websites/blogs in your ares of interest that you had never crossed online before (thanks to all the stumblers for constantly stumbling new contents and giving them thumb up). Isn't that a good reason to start stumbling?

If you had post in your website/blog something nice and want people to discover or want to share it with mass audience in the blogospehere, you could just ask your friends or bloggers friends to thumb up your post (or we call it Stumble here onwards) - to start with. In a way, your friends indirectly recommend to other that this is a good post (to read, ponder, look at etc).

Once you get stumble, it's easier for others (besides your friends) to discover your post and if they love it too, they could thumb up the post again and so the process continues when somebody else found your post and stumble it too, without you even realising or working too much you soon will be building more intricate back links to your blog day by day.

So How To Start Stumbling?

1. Go to http://stumbleupon.com ---> Sign up in a simple few steps.

2. Click the orange button just below the form to start downloading SU toolbar

3. This page will prompt you to start the installation of SU toolbar by clicking the install button.
Once you finish installing you have to restart your browser so you could see the SU toolbar.

4. When you restart your browse now will have this SU toolbar.

Now you are ready to stumble.

Stumbling is easier than you think - The principle is just stumble whatever you like.

While you're surfing, you found a nice picture for example. What should you do? Stumble it! by clicking the thumb up button - the second button on the left of the toolbar.

Alternatively, right click on the image/picture and click on StumbleUpon Photo Blog It.

This right click method only works for images tho.

So if you would like to stumble an article all you have to do is click on the thumb up button - I like it, instead of the right click method.

Otherwise if the author uses images as well in his/her article you could stumble the image and add in your own review of the article when pages like this pop-up.

Sometimes you will also get a pop-up like this.

If this happens, congratulations it means you had just stumble a photo/blog/website that has never been stumble by anyone before. Fill in the form with appropriate reviews, tags and tick whether it's an adult rated content or not. Next click submit and that's it - all done!

5. When you had done with all your e-mailing, blogging and what's not and you don't have any ideas where else to surf. Just click on Stumble button- the left most button on the toolbar and you will be amazed with what you will discover. And don't forget to thumb up anything you like.

Pay Per Post - 7 Millions Funding Received

Pay Per Post (PPP) earlier today, has proudly announced that they had received 7 millions funding for it's future development. And who else could be happier, others than blogger like me who uses PPP - to let advertiser advertise on blogs like this, and bloggers get paid in return to blog about the advertiser.

It is why I'm posting this today. To share this good news with the rest of the bloggers. Hopefully, with this huge amount of funding received by PPP - they could continually provides us bloggers with more golden opportunities - such as this Lucky 7's opps. Technorati Favorites Exchange:
I'm @ the 100th place

I checked my Technorati account this morning and well finally the train has bring me to the Top 100 Most Favorited blogs. And I would like to extend my thanks to everyone who participated in the Technorati Favorites Exchange (TFX).

I know it took me quite sometimes to get even to no. 100 but I'm happy nevertheless. Although on the earlier days when I jumped into the train it was meant to get more credential for this blog with reference to PayPerPost (and now they no longer taken into account the Technorati ranking). But that doesn't mean it has stopped me from working on my Technorati ranking even now.

I know the TFX meme has cause mixed reaction, because now the top favorited blogs has been replaced by blogs most voted instead of blogs of well known bloggers. But then again that's up to the author of the blogs, again some authors are looking for fame or money and others are blogging just for pure fun of sharing knowledge with other bloggers. But as far as I'm concern here are my reason why I'm still continuing the TFX.

I personally think that, well being in the Top 100 Favorited blogs still meant something. Firstly, it means this blog has quite a numbers of loyal readers (or at least that is what I thought), and thus if I were to write a sponsored reviews it means my reviews will get more exposure over the blogosphere. Which is what the advertisers need anyway. To give a buzz of their services or products to the vast audience of the blogosphere.

Secondly, this blog now being in the list means I'm more visible or reachable by avid Technorati users. Which hopefully brings more traffic to the blog and more blogger friends over time.

My List - Malaysian Blogger Community

It started somewhere last April when I blogged about My List - click to read the original post. And big applause for Daryl Lau for the brilliant ideas it has obviously received a very huge good feedback from Malaysian bloggers (not only those residing in Malaysia, but those who are like me Malaysian but basically residing some place else).

The list has been finalize last weekends by Daryl himself. Obviously it has been a very massive lists indeed and well I just can't throw all the links here...maybe I'll put a blog roll or whatever soon but for now...all I could do is link the list that has been originally e-mail to me by Daryl in my google pages. Tree Nation

In the previous post...I blogged about Dorothy Perkins and The Woodland Trust...about planting trees. And how you could help Woodland Trust by buying the super cute boots or t-shirt or cami from Dorothy Perkins.

It is basically a community website with a pledge to plant a park of 8 millions trees - in heart shape - in sahara dessert - in order to fight poverty, global warming and desertification.

Now that you know the basic idea of how Tree Nation works, but what makes this project different than the other Tree Planting Project.

Tree Nation is special because it uses Mapping Technology, which simply means every tree that you plant has a GPS spot. So basically you could monitor you tree growth and track the changes over the internet. Fun ehh?

Which means this could be your life long project. And you could also share your opinions and thoughts on how Tree Nation could improve. Because this is all Tree Nation is about : sharing ideas, inspirations and enthusiasm.
